Remarks/1.  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to solicit qualified FY24 and FY25 active component Enlisted Retention Campaign Marines to apply for lateral move into primary MOS (PMOS) 0441, Logistics Specialist.  Currently the PMOS is categorized as a high demand MOS with significant structure increases between FY25 and FY31.
2.  Background. Logistic Specialists prepare supplies and equipment for embarkation and perform force deployment planning and execution functions.  They manage supplies and equipment, support transportation of personnel and resources, and maintain transportation systems.  They are trained in various operations including landing force support, port control, and rail head operations.  They use automated information systems (AIS) for tracking and planning, prepare load plans, and assist with strategic mobility plans. At the SNCO level, they serve as combat cargo assistants onboard naval amphibious assault ships.
3.  0441 lateral move applicants must meet the following criteria:
3.a.  Must be in the grade of Sergeant or Staff Sergeant serving in any PMOS.  Marines selected for Gunnery Sergeant are not eligible to apply.
3.b.  Must possess a GT and MM score of 100 or higher.  Scores may be waived by the occupational field specialist or PMOS monitor.
3.c.  Must be a U.S. citizen.
3.d.  Must be eligible for a secret security clearance.
3.e.  Marines must have sufficient obligated service to allow for 48 months of service following graduation from Basic Logistics Specialist School.
4.  Marines who desire a lateral move into the 0441 MOS may submit a package immediately, regardless of reenlistment eligibility, packages will be screened and recommended by the PMOS monitor in close collaboration with the 0441/91 occupational field specialist.  Marines may also be eligible for a reenlistment bonus if they meet the criteria outlined in Ref B.
5.  All lateral move packages must be received by MMEA-23 04XX PMOS monitor through the Total Force Retention System (TFRS).
6.  Interested Marines should review the references and contact their career planner to ensure they meet the prerequisites and initiate the lateral move process.  Any additional questions may be answered by contacting the occupational field specialist POC above.
7.  Marines approved for lateral move will be scheduled to attend the Logistics Specialist Course (CID: M0304H7).  SSgts are strongly encouraged to attend the Logistics Chief Course (CID: M03LBC7), within one year of graduation date from the Logistic Specialist Course at the Marine Corps Logistics Operations Schoolhouse, Camp Johnson, NC.  Permanent change of station or permanent change of assignment orders will be issued upon lateral move approval and completion of the above stated courses.
8.  This MARADMIN is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve.
