GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce the results of the Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Commandant's Education Board (CEB) for those officers selected to study abroad in the Olmsted Scholarship Program and other Advanced Degree Programs (ADP) hosted at civilian universities across the country.  Headquarters Marine Corps is publishing the selection results in advance of the conventional CCLEB and CPIB Results MARADMINS to accommodate the extremely competitive admissions process at top civilian universities.

3.  Board Results.

4.  Coordinating Instructions.
4.a.  Officers not yet career designated will be offered alternate career designation in accordance with reference (e), upon acceptance of orders.
4.b.  Officers who will screen on the CY23/FY25 Captains Promotion Board must be selected for promotion to retain their selection status.
4.c.  Olmsted Scholar Foundation.
4.c.1.  The above selected officers must submit their Final Olmsted applicaton NLT 15 November 2022 to MMOA-3, via email:  [email protected].
4.c.2.  Selected officers are encouraged to contact MCU's Olmsted Scholar program POC listed in paragraph 5.a.
4.c.3.  The Final application template can be found on the “CPIB/CCLEB Board Updates” webpage under “Applications”:  https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil/webcenter/portal/OA3CEB/pages_cpibcclebupdates
4.c.4.  The final application must include a GRE Score, and high-quality digital file command photo taken in Service "A" with National Ensign and Service flag in the background.  If the applicant's GRE score is not yet available prior by 15 November, please indicate in the application the projected date the GRE score will be received. 
4.c.5.  The final application can include up to three letters of recommendation.
4.c.6.  Upon conclusion of the Olmsted Foundation's board in March 2023, those chosen will be notified via separate correspondence.
4.c.7.  Those nominees not selected as Olmsted Scholars, will be assigned to other CEB programs based on the officer's expressed preferences from the CEB questionnaire.
4.d.  ADP and ACSP. 
4.d.1.  The following AMOSs are associated with the corresponding Graduate Education disciplines and schools (read in three columns.)

4.d.2.  Civilian school acceptance letters must be provided to the MMOA-3 Graduate Education Coordinator by no later than 1 April 2023.
4.d.3.  Headquarters Marine Corps will not usually accept deferrals.  However, consideration will be given to those in a deployed status and unable to execute orders.  Officers who fall into this category may request deferral in writing (AA Form) via the first general officer in their chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) NLT 7 January 2023.
4.d.4.  The list of officers selected as alternates for ADP and ACSP 
will be published via the MMOA-3 Commandant's Education Board info page following the release of this message at the following CAC protected website:   https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil/webcenter/portal/OA3CEB/
4.d.5.  The list will be posted alphabetically by full name and MOS.  No action is required by officers on this list.  If vacancies open from the primary slate, an available alternate will be notified by their primary MOS monitor or Graduate Education Manager for assignment.
4.d.6.  Officers assigned to ADP will be immediately assigned to a utilization tour upon completion of their coursework.
