GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  Encourage Marines who seek new and challenging opportunities to submit for a lateral move.
2.  Discussion.  A lateral move provides Marines the opportunity to change career tracks.  Effective immediately, first term Marines who desire a lateral move may submit a request into any career track with remaining reenlistment opportunities.
3.  Marines who execute lateral move reenlistments are eligible toreceive bonus payments as listed in the FY23 Selective Reenlistment Bonus Program.
